The tournament to decide gKoreafs No.1 Herculesh was held on the occasion of Koreafs traditional holiday Sulinal (the festival on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month). Sulinal falls on June 22 this year.

More than eighty working-class silum wrestlers participated in the tournament. The final round of the tournament was aired live by the Korean Central Broadcasting on June 22.

The first silum tournament was held in 2001.

Ri Gwang Mo, 28, a worker at the Pyongyang Circus Theater, won the championship. A 905-kilogram bull and a golden bell were presented to the champion.

Traditionally, Korean people hold silum competitions and present a well-grown bull to a champion as a symbol of the strongest man.
