Introduction to A Tour of
Rajin-Sonbong Region
- An Unexplored area in Northeast Asia's Golden Spot -

Here we introduce the first-ever travel tour package to Northeast Asia's golden spot, the Tumen Region where the DPRK borders China and Russia.
The package, called "Travel to Northeast Asia (Part I); Explore Border Areas of China, DPRK and Russia," is organized by the Chugai Travel Inc., a Tokyo-based Korean travel agency.
A model package consists of four days and five nights tour of the Tumen River Economic Development Area (TREDA); from Tokyo to the Rajin-Sonbong Economic and Trade Zone, the DPRK via Yanji City, the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Region, China.
The area extends from Chongjin in the DPRK to Yanji in China and northward to Vladivostok and Nakhodka/Vostochny in Russia. The region takes its name from the Tumen River which borders all three countries before flowing to the sea. It has a population of nearly 4 million, half of whom live in Yanbian, China.
One of the attractive courses of the model package is a tour of the Rajin-Sonbong "Golden Triangle" Zone. The zone exhibits a great potential for tourism development. A short trip will take you to numerous attractive areas, while the impressive coastline will provide rest enjoyment.
The Tumen Region is still a largely undiscovered part of Northeast Asia - undeveloped by international corporations, at least. However, the area is going to become one of the Asia-Pacific region's trade centers and hot spots of investment.
Now the Tokyo-based Korean travel agency offers an unmatched access to one of the world's most attractive and unknown region.
